I had the honor yesterday to sit in on a meeting of representatives of many of Akron's non-profit agencies. You could feel the mutual love and admiration in the air. All these people who give of themselves and motivate others to do the same, all for the community they love and call home. I was there just as a 91.3 The Summit volunteer. It was truly inspiring! I think of John Mayer's song "Waiting on the World to Change". Instead of complaining, do something. Even a tiny positive step is a step in the right direction. It can snowball, and kindness is contagious. When I think of Akron, I think of warm, caring, involved people not waiting for a change, but striving to make good things happen. So if any of you who live in or around Akron, had to suddenly leave, what would you miss most about Akron?
